Do I need to empty the room completely before carpet installation?
Yes. For the safety of your belongings and our installers, all furniture, electronics, and breakable items should be removed from the rooms before we arrive. We can assist with moving large furniture items by prior arrangement.
How long does it take for new carpet odor to dissipate?
The “new carpet smell” comes from harmless VOC emissions and typically dissipates within 48 to 72 hours. Keeping windows open and running fans or air conditioning will speed up the ventilation process.
Can carpet be installed over existing flooring or old carpet?
No. To ensure a flat, hygienic, and long-lasting installation, we must completely remove the old carpet and underlay, clean the subfloor, install new tack strips, and lay a fresh underlay.
